The product is used for therapeutic purposes for the effective treatment of varroatosis. The active ingredient of the product is amitraz (12.5%).
Method of Application
Preparation of the solution: To prepare the emulsion for treating 50 bee colonies, 5 ml of the product should be diluted with 100 ml of purified kerosene. The solution must be prepared on the day of treatment.
Treatment of bees against varroatosis is carried out by air spraying in the form of smoke, thus it is most effective when applied using a Varomor smoke gun. To neutralize the mites, 1–2 smoke puffs per bee colony are sufficient.
Application using a syringe:
Draw the solution into a syringe and treat the bee colonies by fine droplet trickling of the emulsion onto the bees in the spaces between frames.
It is recommended to carry out treatment procedures for varroatosis twice:
In autumn after the honey harvest, before wintering, if Varroa mites are present on adult bees.
At the recommended concentrations, the product does not affect the general condition, development, or productivity of bee colonies.
Contraindications
Do not use the product during the honey flow or when the hive temperature is below 0 °C.
Do not smoke, drink, or eat during product use. Wearing protective gloves is recommended.
