Mavrik (Tau-fluvalinate 24%)
Mavrik for bees is designed for the effective control of the Varroa mite. It can be used after the spring cleansing flight of bees and in autumn after the end of the honey harvest, as a fumigation agent with a Varomor smoke gun. Colonies are treated twice with an interval of 5–7 days at a temperature not lower than +15 °C.
Manufacturer: Israel
Method of Application
Preparation of the working solution for Varomor smoke gun (100 g):
To prepare 100 grams of working solution (Mavrik emulsion), add 3 ml of Mavrik to 100 grams of boiled warm water (temperature 16–25 °C) and mix until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
Fumigation using Varomor smoke gun:
Apply 1–2 puffs (smoke clouds) per bee colony.
Consumption rate: 100 grams of working solution is sufficient for 45–55 bee colonies.
Preparation of the working solution for trickling method:
To prepare 1 liter of working solution, add 1 ml of Mavrik to 1 liter of boiled warm water (temperature 16–25 °C) and mix until homogeneous.
Dosing for bee colonies via trickling:
When trickling bees using a syringe or Rosinka-type sprayer, apply 1 ml of the working solution per bee street.
1 liter of the working solution is sufficient to treat 100 frames with bees.
Mode of Action of the Product:
Mavrik’s active ingredient (Tau-fluvalinate) disrupts the nervous system of the Varroa mite, affecting its motor centers, while causing no harm to the bees.
Contraindications
Do not use the product during the honey flow or when hive temperature is below 0 °C.
Do not smoke, drink, or eat during product use. Wearing protective gloves is recommended.
Storage Conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature between +5 °C and +15 °C, in a dry place protected from light.
