Cardboard strips measuring 27×3×1 cm, with a mild specific odor.
Used for the prevention and treatment of bees infested with Varroa destructor mites. The cardboard strips, impregnated with the active ingredient, are fixed in the brood area of the hive using holders.
Composition
One strip contains the active ingredient:
Tau-fluvalinate 80 mg (+/-10%) and an aromatic complex.
Method of application
For the prevention and treatment of bees infested with Varroa destructor mites. The cardboard strips, impregnated with the active ingredient, are fixed in the brood area of the hive using holders.
Dosage
One strip per 3 bee spaces (equivalent to 4 brood frames).
The strip is technologically designed so that bees, through their natural activity, will attempt to remove it from the hive (chew it off).
Six days after installation, perform a visual inspection. If the strip is missing or damaged, it should be replaced. This prolongs the strip’s action and ensures the elimination of mites.
The strip should remain in the hive for at least 30 days.
Use after honey harvesting to prevent the reproduction, parasitism, and damage to winter bee populations caused by Varroa mites.
The product is also used in the spring before the start of the honey flow and during colony buildup.
It is also recommended for use in the autumn period after the main honey harvest.
For normally developed bee colonies, the strips should be placed between frames 3–4 and 7–8 and remain in this position until the first visual inspection.
Use 2 strips for 8–10 brood frames. In multi-body hives, 2 strips should be placed in each hive body.
