Cardboard strips measuring 27×3×1 cm, with a mild specific odor.
For the prevention and treatment of bees infested with Varroa destructor mites. The cardboard strips, impregnated with the active ingredient, are fixed in the brood area of the hive using holders.
Composition
One strip contains the active ingredient:
Flumethrin 3.6 mg (+/-10%) and auxiliary substances.
Method of application
For the prevention and treatment of bees infested with Varroa destructor mites. The cardboard strips, impregnated with the active ingredient, are fixed in the brood area of the hive using holders.
Dosage
One strip per 3 bee spaces (equivalent to 4 brood frames). The strip is technologically designed so that bees, during their activity, will attempt to remove it from the hive (chew it off).
Six days after installation, carry out a visual inspection. If the strip is missing or damaged, it must be replaced. This prolongs the action of the strip and ensures the destruction of mites. The strip must remain in the hive for at least 30 days.
Use after honey harvesting to prevent the reproduction, parasitism, and damage to winter bee populations by the Varroa mite.
The product is used in spring before the start of the honey flow and during colony buildup.
Also used in the autumn period after the main honey harvest.
For normally developed bee colonies, the cardboard strips are placed between frames 3–4 and 7–8 and remain in this position until the first visual inspection.
For 8–10 brood frames, use 2 strips. In multi-chamber hives, use 2 strips per chamber.
Contraindications
Do not use “Apiflum” when the ambient temperature is below +10 °C.
Precautions
Do not use the product when the ambient temperature is below +10 °C.
During use, do not smoke, eat, or drink. Gloves are recommended.
Packaging
Plastic bag containing cardboard strips, which are fixed in the brood area of the hive.
Instructions for use are printed on the packaging.
Storage conditions
Store in a dry, cool place, out of reach of children, separately from food products.
Shelf life
36 months from the date of manufacture.
